GUIDE OLAF

Aurora matchup: You can basically only win in the first few levels. You depend on him wasting W and forcing his ultimate without using yours. And after he uses his ultimate, you must land an axe and all-in him, waiting for his W to use your ultimate

Vayne matchup: You win the early levels. You depend on the player being bad. You can force early, but after level 11 you will always lose if you don't land everything and have Ghost/Flash. You need to get strong before level 9.

Fiora matchup: Ban this champion. You rely on landing all of his axes and playing completely on the edge. If you die once in lane and he's good, you can quit the game because you'll be 100-0 the entire game. If you get strong in the early game, you can put 2 points into Q and level up E, building Ravenous Hydra.

Vladimir matchup: You have to push hard in the early game. After level 6, you have to remove his Phase Rush (if he has it). If he doesn't have Phase Rush, every time he uses his W, you can go all-in. But if he has Phase Rush + Flash/Ghost, you have to remove his Phase Rush, then remove his W, and only then go all-in.

Aatrox matchup: Force trades at level 1 and try to kill him by level 4-5. You have to rush armor boots as soon as possible. If he passes your side of the lane after level 6, and you have Flash and Ghost, go all-in and kill him EVERY TIME if you land all your axes. You can't be kited by his ultimate. Prioritize building Shellbreaker, Hextech Plate, or Ravenous Hydra > Hextech Plate. If you have melee against him, you will always win.

K'Sante matchup: Before the first base you'll be very strong against him, but after level 6 you'll depend on dodging his W. If he has Aftershock, you'll always go 100-0 if you don't dodge his W. Level up your E in this matchup. Rush Ravenous Hydra if you're winning, but if not, build Steppenwren or Hexoplate first.

Garen matchup: If you don't gain an advantage in the early game, you'll be 100-0 the whole game. If he has Conqueror, you might lose the initial levels, but after level 6, just go all-in. But be careful, because Garen's Q removes slow, and save your W for his R. If you win the early game, you can level up your E, but if he has Phase Rush, you need to wait for him to use up his Phase Rush before going all-in. Be careful not to get low on health so you don't get executed. Prioritize Sterak's Gage against Garen.

Illaoi matchup: If you dodge his E, you win; if you take his E, you lose. Before 6 you can force trades, after 6, if you take his E, you die instantly.

Jax matchup: If you don't ban Fiora, ban this champion. You have to play very reactively in this matchup, especially if he has Lethal Tempo + Ignite. If you die once, you'll die again until the end of the game. If he uses his E, throw an axe and walk backward, and after his E ends, you can try for a kill at level 1 if he has Grasp + Teleport. But if he has Flash + Ignite, you have to wait until level 3 and, after he uses his E and Q on you, go all-in, saving your W to burst him down. After level 6, whenever he jumps at you with Q+E, use Q+E, kiting backward, and when his E ends you can go all-in. Level up your E in this matchup and rush Ravenous Hydra if you're winning.

Kayle matchup: Push as hard as possible before level 6. Kayle's White Boots — if she's good, you'll always lose. Prioritize building Stride-Breaker and Hexoplate > White Boots. You don't heal with Kayle's R. Save your W for executing her E if it's dangerous. After level 11, and in fights, she'll be unbearable. Avoid focusing whoever she ults, as you won't be able to heal them.

Kennen matchup: You win level 1-2, but after that I highly recommend waiting until level 6. You are completely dependent on him using his E; if he doesn't use his E, you'll never kill him. I recommend rushing CDR boots and/or Hexdrinker. If he's out of E and you hit him with an axe, you'll always kill him.

Riven matchup: Build Wardens Mail and play aggressively. After level 6, try saving your W for her ultimate's execute and, before all-in, wait for her to use at least 3 dashes first.

Teemo matchup: If Teemo is playing Flash + Ignite with Phase Rush leveling up his W, there's no way to kill him unless you remove his W and Phase Rush before all-in with your ultimate. If he's playing Flash + Ignite without Phase Rush, you just need to hit all the axes and all-in. If he's playing Flash + Ghost without Phase Rush, you have to remove his W first and hit all the axes. Basically, if you miss a skill, you'll always lose. Prioritize building movespeed items, such as white boots, stepbreaker, and hexplate, to avoid being kited.

Trundle matchup: If he has Flash + Ignite, you'll always lose. Play very safe until level 4 and try to kill him at level 4 when he misuses his W. If he's good and uses his E to negate your axe, don't try to catch it and just try to kill him by auto-attacking + E and saving your W for a final burst. After level 6, whenever he ults you, you'll lose if you're evenly matched. If you're stronger, you can play this matchup by maxing your E. Build Ninja Tabi and only build damage items; don't build armor items, build pure damage or health items, because his R steals armor and MR. And build anti-heal or play Ignite if you want to win a 1v1 against him.

Ambessa matchup: Play at your limit in the early game. If you know the champion's limits, you'll always win. If she builds lethality, she can go 100-0. If you win the early game, you'll only have difficulty after level 9, when she has her Q maxed and Eclipse. However, in fights she won't do much besides kiting you.

Camille matchup: You have to win early. If you fall behind, you'll always lose to her. Level up Q by 3 points and max E. If she uses E on you, use your ultimate and kill her. Build Ravenous Hydra and health items, or Stride-breaker + health items. Rush Tabi in this matchup to reduce her true damage.

Darius matchup: You need to be aware of your champion's limitations to play this matchup before level 6. After level 6, whenever he uses Q or uses E and misses Q, just ult and hit all the axes. If he gets 5 marks, use W on his R. Whoever gets an early advantage will always win. Build boots early in this matchup and prioritize Sterak's Gage to play fights against him better.

Gangplank matchup: You have to rush Ninja Tabi in this match. If you hit him with an axe, go all-in and prioritize breaking the barrels instead of attacking him. He can only kill you if you reset his passive. His poke is unbearable until you complete Tabi. Make sure you have a healthy life in this match.

Gragas matchup: The most annoying lane possible. If he has Phase Rush, you have to wait for him to use it. Prioritize farming in this matchup. If you go even, you'll always win after he uses his Phase Rush. If you're having trouble in lane, proxy farm until you get the item.

Gwen matchup: Play as aggressively as possible to gain an early advantage. If you lose the early game, you'll always go 100-0 if she has Ignite. Prioritize rushing Hexdrinker and building Ravenous Hydra. If you have space to go all-in at level 6, try to kill her before her R3 and dodge the center of her Q to avoid getting executed. And be careful not to fight when she has her W.

Heimerdinger matchup: You have to rush Hexdrinker and wait for level 6. After level 6, you have to hit him with an axe and go all-in, prioritizing killing him as quickly as possible. If you win the early game, build Ravenous Hydra, which will always win until he gets Zhonya's Hourglass.

Jayce matchup: This matchup heavily depends on how good Jayce is. If he picks an aggressive rune like Conqueror, you'll lose the early game. But prioritize level 6: if he's out of Haste, you'll always win if you rush Ninja Tabi and land the axe. But if he has Haste, you depend on him using up Haste before going all-in. If he has Haste, build Ninja Tabi > Ravenous Hydra.

Kled matchup: If he has Ignite + Barrier, be careful when going all-in. Prioritize rushing Ninja Tabi and building pure damage items. If he uses E forward, you can go all-in. If he has Ignite + Barrier, he will always win all-ins if they are even. Focus on seeing if he has W; if he doesn't, you will always win the trades.

Tryndamere matchup: Rush the Wardens Mail in this match and play reactively. If he plays poorly, you can level up 3 points in Q and level up E, but if not, max out Q. After level 6, you have to gradually chip away at his health. After taking about 40% of his health and him using E forward, you can all-in him without using W, and when he ults, use the axe on him and run until his ult ends, kiting without wasting your own ult. When it ends, use W and burst him down.

Yone matchup: Be careful at level 1 if he's using Lethal Tempo. If you hit him with an axe at level 3, you win, just be careful not to get kited. After level 6, wait for him to use his E to try an all-in and always get in front of him so he can't ult outside the game. If he's good and kites you well with his E, be very careful, because the match will be much harder.

Dr. Mundo matchup: Punish him as much as you can. Use his ultimate before going all-in. If you want to kill him easily, rush Blade of the Ruined King.

Renekton matchup: You gain a lot of early game, but be VERY respectful of Renekton's rage. If he's level 4 with maximum rage and Ignite, he'll give you a 100-0 win. Prioritize rushing Tabi and Fazo in this matchup. If Renekton uses E1 or later, you can go all-in. Renekton's W cuts shields, so use your W only after Renekton's W, or as soon as possible, so he can't cut your shield.

Rumble matchup: Rush Hexdrinker and play very aggressively if he plays Comet without Haste. If he plays with Haste, be careful not to get kited. Whenever he doesn't have Haste, just use your ultimate and kill him. Use your W when you're low on health to avoid being blown up by Rumble.

Sett matchup: You can't move forward until you complete Ninja Tabi and reach level 6. Once you complete Ninja Tabi and reach level 6, the match flips in your favor. Avoid giving him the opportunity to escape and dodge his W; if you get hit by his W, you lose.

Singed matchup: If he has Phase Rush + Flash + Ghost, never try to kill him, just focus on farming and scaling. If he doesn't have Phase Rush, you have to hit him with all your axes and wait for him to use his passive before going all-in. You gain the initial levels.

Pantheon matchup: Be very careful in the early levels, especially if he has Ignite. Dodge his Q with your passive and you'll win before level 6. After level 6, rushing Ninja Tabi, you only need to land the axes and you'll always win against him, since he doesn't have a combat ultimate.

Volibear matchup: Be careful if he has Flash + Ignite with PTA. If so, you need to flash his level 3 E and go all-in. Build Ninja Tabi or CDR boots and use them on your ultimate's cooldown. You can build Hexdrinker if he builds AP. Every time you hit him with a level 6 axe, you'll win. If he uses his ultimate to reach a distance, respect that and use it on your R's cooldown, since your R comes back about 50 seconds faster than his, and kill him.

Yasuo matchup: This matchup depends on Yasuo being good. If he's good, you have to respect him until level 5-6 or know your champion's limits very well. If you rush Ninja Tabi and there's no wave for him to kite you, you'll always win. Be careful, because his W can negate your Q.

Warwick matchup: This matchup depends on Warwick. If he has Barrier + Lethal Tempo, you have to respect him A LOT until level 6. If you have Ignite, you'll always win all-ins with your ultimate. Level up your E in this matchup and build Ravenous Hydra.

Yorick matchup: You have to play aggressively in the early game and try to get an advantage before level 6. If he misuses his W, just hit him with the axe and kill him. Build Ravenous Hydra and use it to stop his ultimate. If he tries to kill you while you're focusing his ultimate, kill him.

Gnar matchup: Push hard at the beginning because Gnar is weak. And after level 6, whenever he uses his jump, hit him with your axe and kill him. After level 9, if you don't hit him with your axes, he'll always kite you. So aim for a big advantage early on.

Irelia matchup: Deny her XP at level 1. Be careful at level 3 if she hits you with her E. Respect her level 4-5 bounces, as she's the strongest level 4-5 champion with her passive. Build Tabi and level up your E in this matchup.

Malphite matchup: Play aggressively early on. You can deny him XP at level 1. After level 6, I recommend rushing CDR boots and always using Malphite's ultimate to use his R, since you have a shorter cooldown on it. Generally, just farm. I recommend Tiamat Slayer to skip the lane.

Ryze matchup: If he doesn't have Phase Rush, you kill him between levels 1 and 18. But if he does have it, you have to be very careful with his Rush. If he uses up his Rush and only hits with the axe, then kill him.

Shen matchup: Be careful in the early levels, he's very strong. If he hits you with his Q, if you know your limits, you can play very aggressively. After level 6, wait for him to use his E and then go all-in, and save your E to reset his ultimate when he uses his W.

Sion matchup: Be careful not to get kited at the early levels and die. After level 6, whenever you go all-in on him, wait for him to use his W first and then get inside him so he can't use his ultimate outside of your range.

Quinn matchup: You gain level 1-2. Be careful afterwards. Make Ninja Tabi and, after level 6, whenever you hit her with an axe, you will kill her.

Cassiopeia matchup: Only walk straight ahead if she doesn't have Phase Rush. If she does have Phase Rush, make her use it first and then go all-in. If you have difficulty, buy Hexdrinker.

Nasus matchup: Don't let him stack. Play very aggressively. If he has Phase Rush, remove his Phase Rush and hit him with an axe to kill him. You only lose if you let him stack for free. Freeze the lane and win the early game.

Ornn matchup: Be careful with his W, as it deals a lot of damage. Whenever he uses his E, go all-in. In general, just focus on farming and scaling, and kill him if he misses.

Poppy matchup: Avoid taking both parts of her Q and, before using your ultimate, wait for her to use her E so she can't use it on a minion and kite you.

Udyr matchup: Be careful if he's building AD with PTA using Ignite, as he can 100-0 you with his Q and passive. Rush Tabi if necessary. Otherwise, just be careful not to miss your ultimate if he kites you with his movement speed.

Varus matchup: You win level 1-2. Be careful afterwards. Make Ninja Tabi and, after level 6, whenever you hit her with an axe, you will kill her.

Zaahen matchup: Be careful of his absurd damage output at level 4. Level up your E, build Ravenous Hydra, and whenever you have R and he uses E forward, you can kill him.

Cho'Gath matchup: Be careful early game if he has Hail of Blades. At level 6, if you hit him with an axe, just kill him. If necessary, save your W for his R.

Maokai matchup: Just walk straight ahead. If he has Gradual Momentum, make him use it up and then go all-in.

Mordekaiser matchup: You win against levels 1-18. Just use your ultimate before he uses his on you. If he uses his first, you will lose.

Tahm Kench matchup: Just play aggressively. Your ultimate cancels his R. Wait for him to use his W before going all-in.

Rengar matchup: Do Ninja Tabi and be careful he doesn't kite you with the R.

Sejuani matchup: Just walk straight and you'll always win.

Skarner matchup: Just wait for him to use his E to ult or flash in front of him.

Urgot matchup: If he has Phase Rush, be careful from level 1-6. And after level 6, make him use it and go all-in. Your ultimate will cancel his ultimate.

Zac matchup: If he uses his E, just kill him. I recommend building anti-heal in this matchup.

Xin Zhao matchup: His character is worse. Just walk straight from 1-18 and you'll always win.
