Viktor matchup: Extremely difficult matchup too, he has a built in shield which gets bigger when he evolves it + movespeed to kite you, just pokes you with E, can go bone plating, health items, you play this matchup by mismatching recall timers, good wave management so you freeze and hope your jungler/support has a timer to gank, proc bone plating first, then go for short trades whilst proccing electrocute, anticipate his E's since he wants to just play long range and poke with E. It gets a bit easier mid game if he didn't go for health items (Rod of ages, Chainlaced crushers, Merc treads) so you'll be able to match him in sidelane, otherwise mismatch lane assignements and lane vs the enemy top laner in side laner if its a better matchup.

Ryze matchup: Also tricky, because once again, he can go boneplating, Rod of ages, Merc treads, and has low CDs so he has a lot of dps which sometimes you can't dodge, try to proc his bone plating, short trades, he is very mobile so jungle/support ganks are good, it's harder to freeze on him because he has good waveclear but holding the wave towards your turret does help, short Q+W+Auto trades to proc electrocute is the way, using your E and staying in range is difficult since he'll just dps you during the time it takes to proc it.

Sion matchup: Sometimes you play against Sion mids... After first recall they become basically unkillable if they go for the right build path, (I've killed a few sion mids 3/4 times because they rush titanic hydra instead of MR first), they just take your turrets and you hitting them doesn't even break their shield, you go relentless hunter, take the waves, and move to impact the map, running TP also helps since ignite in lane is basically useless.

Galio matchup: Same thing as sion matchup, You won't really kill them if they itemize properly, so just go relentless hunter with TP and try to impact the map, walk up in mid lane to not let him get lane prio and do the same, be the first to push and maintain vision in river (control wards + sweep to deny vision), you'll be playing the map and not the lane.

Mel matchup: Difficult matchup since she can deny your W damage and reflect your chain, it'll be hard to kill her since her E is linear and just counters your W, play waves, W in from weird angles and look for auto + Q's, maybe proc electrocute, if she W's, you can W on her face next trade more easily or W to the side and E+Q her.

Kassadin matchup: The matchup is easier with gunblade for sure, but it's the mid/late game and matching him in side lane that's difficult, be as aggressive as you can early game, it's his one weakness, auto him and if he Q's, THEN you Q+W because he won't have his magic shield to block damage, just remember, if you Q+W and then he Q's, don't bother autoing to proc electrocute since it does magic damage and his magic shield will block the damage, holding wave near your turret for jungle/support assistance is very useful too, slow push wave 1 and 2, crash wave 3 and you'll have the wave towards you, punish under turret!! very important concept against kassadin.

Annie matchup: Her stun duration is quite long, she has longer auto range, and she has movespeed + a shield for when you W in, not a very easy lane, I've played it vs Annie IRL a few times and won every time when i went for merc treads, you take less damage allowing you to not get one shot, and you're stunned for less time meaning you can trade back, of course this is if Annie plays the matchup properly. If you're confident in your skills and she's not stunning you as she should, it's fine to get sorcerer shoes especially if you have a lead, try to trade when her Q is on cooldown and when she Has 1/2 stacks of passive.

Yasuo matchup: Complex because of how slippery he is, and high damage, windwall also messes you up sometimes, auto to proc his passive, then Q+W, remember to be patient with your W as he'll probably E on a minion to dodge it, start E level 1 if he goes E, if he starts Q, you can go W, it's important to see what skill he goes first so wait to see, if you hit your Q on him, instead of doing an R(Q) + W combo afterwards to burst him, do a W+R(W), because he can't windwall your W, so it'll always hit, pair this with gunblade and he becomes easier to kill. Try to position yourself up in the lane and threaten to auto + Q him to not give him agency in the lane, he is a melee champion so you should be dictating the pace of the lane.

Orianna matchup: Low cooldowns, can go bone plating, rod of ages if she wants, even chainlaced crushers, built in shield too, try to proc her bone plating if she has it, then short Auto+Q+W trades, max range ideally so she can't trade back and run you down afterwards, 1/2 good trades before she is in lethal range, movespeed is nice in this matchup so you can dodge her low cd poke. (Rushing sorcerer shoes is fine after alternator for example)

Diana matchup: You don't see this matchup a lot, and I always win it, but it just feels difficult, she takes no damage, she's just naturally tanky, can go bone plating, built in decently sized shield, and can trade back so easily after you Q+W, its important to play distance, and dodge her Q's or she'll just jump on you, chains are your best friend, make her farm with her Q by zoning her so she can't use them on you, stay away from the minions so its you or the minions, and if she chooses the minions, it'll push towards you.

Irelia matchup: Irelia is kind of like yasuo, really high DPS and very mobile, its important to zone level 1, get that lane agency and from then on have a 1/2/3 minion lead, (not too much so it crashes but enough so you have minion advantage), dodging her E's are very important, and not trading when she has 4 stacks of Q, or else just 2/3 of her autos + a Q will do your entire combo and it won't be worth, play range and don't walk up too close, stay away from the minions and be patient with your E, since when she Q's shes on top of you, so if you use it instantly, you'll miss, wait to Q+W after her W so she doesn't negate all of your damage.

Naafiri matchup: You don't see this matchup too much, it's not too difficult, just play with your Q and autos whilst dodging his Q, if you W in, and he dodges with his W, then he'll be able to just jump on you which is a losing trade (good idea to W in intentionally if you want to bait though). bit of a stalemate for both champions, whoever W's first, the other dodges and then has the lead.

Akshan matchup: I was surprised when I heard people say they struggled in this matchup, aside from level 1 which is very akshan favored, the matchup is pretty good, respect his E level 1, you HAVE to give prio even if it's a bronze akshan, he just has so much more dps, stand on opposite wall he's standing on so his E is in an awkward spot, play with Q range, and dodge his Q's, if he ever E's in you can W away, you have a shorter cooldown too, gets way easier at gunblade.

Zed matchup: Very volatile matchup, usually both players run ignite, if he doesn't go dorans shield you have an easier time killing him, make sure to play range, Autos + Q's as per usual, W only when his Q or W are down, so he can't immediately punish you for it, level 6, he always ends up behind you so it's always a free chain, sometimes I W into zed and want him to ult me, (then continue walking in a straight line so when he lands from his ult, hes very far away from my initial W), then I W back, so he essentially wastes his ult and doesn't get to follow up afterwards.

Zoé matchup: The Zoe matchup isn't too hard, volatile, both run ignite, you can W in and do whatever you want to her, ideally your initial W is behind minions, when you W onto her make sure it's not directly onto her but slight to her right/left so if she E's it doesnt hit you.

Vladimir matchup: You want to put the foot on the gas in this matchup, don't let him breathe even for a single second, or he will just perma sustain back up, if you want to use your combo, you have to hit your E first, when he's chained, he cannot use his W, which allows you to use your entire combo, ignite is good for his empowered Q.

Sylas matchup: Pretty volatile matchup, but a fun one, play range, Autos + Q, and W when he's about to last hit a minion so he can't use W whilst you're mid air to negate your trade, dodge his E's and he should never be able to gap close, he should max Q, so it's important to dodge those as well, just like vlad, if hes tethered by your E, he can't W you, so it's a good time to use your entire combo if he's in lethal range. double chain is decent in this matchup since he'll be in range most of the time.

Cassiopeia matchup: Decent for leblanc in the mid lane, in the top lane however, I had to play the matchup vs caps a few days ago and it's completely different since she just runs you down, play short trades with Q + W + electrocute, quick so she can't where you are, try to dodge her Q as you W back, R(w) + W+Q+Auto is decent combo here for gapclosing and dealing 30-40% of her health, sorcerer boots early is also good to dodge her Q's.

Fizz matchup: You might have to start E level 1 if he jumps at you, watch out with W'ing level 1 as he could just dodge it and E onto you,if you DO W in, don't W back immediately, wait to see where he E's before choosing whether to stay or W back. You want to play with range, if he gets too close you want to E him, and then use your full combo, since it tethers him even mid E, be patient with your spells and don't be afraid to bait his abilities, try to stay away from minions as if he Q+W's onto you, your E would hit a minion instead of him, so it's good to be out in the open.

Anivia matchup: Not toooo hard, Once again just W next to her rather than on top of her since her Q is linear and you will get hit, she outranges you so this will be your main trade pattern, it's not easy to Q her unless she's going for a minion, W'ing to the side to E+Q+Auto is a good idea, but make sure to dodge his Q as you W in. TP is fine in this matchup, he can go Rod of ages and become hard to kill so you don't have to go ignite.

Kog'Maw matchup: Pretty neutral, he'll play range, but he's very squishy, I doubt he'll be in W range but you can W to the side and E+Q+Auto then W back, short trades, holding the wave near you is fine, but if hes level 6 he'll just farm from far, push the wave and look to impact sidelanes if not far up enough in the lane.

Hwei matchup: Also pretty neutral, hwei has his EQ to hold you back, so W'ing on him is unlikely unless hes overextended, W'ing to the side + E+Q+auto is good, just make sure you walk left/right to dodge his EQ as you W in, he is a pretty safe mage so it's not too easy to kill him.

Akali matchup: One of my favorite matchups, I have a video stomping an akali on my youtube channel if you'd like to see, Q+W+Auto to proc elecrocute is ideal, level 1/2 play very aggressive, you dictate the pace of the lane, don't randomly throw out your E if you're not sure where she is, be patient, your E can reveal her in her W, just remember when you W in, she will proably E to get out of range plus try to hit you, so W her on top of minions, if she does hit her E when you've W'd in, we'll use the Zed R trick, walk away from your original W to create as much distance, and when she clicks E2, you wait for her to be on you, then W back (don't do it too early or she'll follow you back and chunk you way more)

Katarina matchup: You should dominate this matchup, hopefully she doesn't go dorans shield and second wind, stay away from her daggers when she Q's, play Q+auto's in lane, if you hit your Q, chances are when you W she will 100% react and E away, which is why it's fine to start the combo with your W in this matchup, it's harder to react to alone, then you can Auto+Q to proc electrocute, holding a freeze is nice, matchup gets easier at gunblade.

Aurora matchup: Space her Q level 1, you can do many combos, Q+W+Auto is doable because its almost her Q range, just make sure you W next to her and not right on top of her since linear W means you'll be hit by her Q, dont blindly use your E when she's invisible, be patient, best time to use your E is when you w right next to her, you can angle the E so that it doesn't miss.

Syndra matchup: You want to bait her Q's level 1, pretend you're not interested in trading, then as soon as she goes for a minion, W + auto + auto to proc electrocute, you want to stay away from her Q+E range, unless you go for a W in, then Q+auto's, that will be the most common trade since syndra will never be in W range, and if she is most likely she'll react with an E to cancel your W in. Matchup becomes way easier with gunblade, W+R(w)'ing in a weird way is very useful so she can't hit her Q+E on you.

Ahri matchup: One of the easiest matchups, Q+W is free, do it next to her and not on top so you don't get hit by the charm, you can instantly E her, should be a winning trade, if she has E, play inside of minions unless you want to bait her E, in that case it's fine being in the open, if she misses her E, chances are she'll immediately Q afterwards.
