Акали
Lethal Tempo → my preferred choice into Akali.
B
Акали matchup: Rune Lethal Tempo → my preferred choice into Akali. Why: Yone can punish Akali when she commits to melee range; LT gives you much better sustained DPS if she doesn't kill you during the first burst; you don't need Fleet's sustain as much as against heavy-poke mages; Akali's W is her main defensive tool , so after she uses it, LT becomes especially valuable for the extended fight. Fleet Footwork is playable if you're struggling with her Q poke or want a safer lane, but I would not default to it. Laning phases Level 1 — B+ Start Q . Don't let Akali get free Q + passive-auto trades. You can contest the wave because Yone's Q gives you good range and wave pressure. If she uses Q and walks forward for the passive auto, you can Q her back and take a short trade. Don't chase her too far; her passive gives her a very strong spacing advantage. The important thing is don't lose HP for no reason before level 3 . Level 2–5 — B This is where the matchup becomes more dangerous. Once Akali has E + W , her ability to dodge your damage and re-enter the fight becomes much stronger. If she uses W offensively , don't immediately panic. You can: back away; wait for her to reveal herself; continue the trade once her W advantage is gone. If she misses E , that's a major window for you. Akali E down = much easier for Yone to fight. Don't blindly E → Q3 into her when she still has E available. If she lands E on you, she can turn the fight very quickly. Level 6+ — B- This is where both champions become dangerous. Akali's R gives her excellent burst and mobility, but Yone has enough tools to fight her if you don't give her the perfect first combo. The biggest thing: Don't give Akali the first clean burst. If she starts the fight with E → E2 → R and you're already low, the fight becomes extremely difficult. Instead, try to make her spend abilities before committing your full combo. Your E is particularly important because it gives you a way to force Akali to fight you while still having an escape available. The biggest thing to track Akali W — Twilight Shroud. This is the ability that determines whether you should continue fighting. When W is down , Akali becomes considerably easier to punish. When W is available , don't waste your entire combo trying to hit her inside the shroud. If she uses W: wait → track her position → Q/W when she reveals → continue the fight. Also track Akali E . If both W + E are available, be much more careful about forcing an all-in. If E is down , your Q3/E engage becomes significantly more reliable. Her passive Akali's passive is one of the main reasons her short trades are so strong. She wants: Q → passive auto → Q → passive auto Don't stand there and let her repeatedly do this for free. If she uses Q and walks out for the passive auto, you can use Q/W to punish her. The goal isn't necessarily to win every short trade. The goal is to make her lose HP before she gets a clean all-in . Don't chase Akali into shroud This is probably the biggest mistake Yone players make in this matchup. If she uses W and disappears: don't blindly E/R into the shroud. You can easily waste your cooldowns and give her the exact fight she wants. Instead: wait for her to reveal → Q/W → continue. If she leaves the shroud, that's often your opportunity to chase. Wave management You generally want a stable wave slightly toward your side of the lane . Why? Akali is much scarier when she has a long lane to chase you through. If you're constantly pushing: Yone pushes → Akali gets space → Akali finds E → long chase → dangerous. Instead: slow push → crash → reset/roam or keep the wave closer to your side when possible. You don't need to permanently shove Akali under tower. What you want in trades Your ideal trade is: Q → W → Q → Q3 → E → AA/Q → disengage or, if she commits: E → Q3 → W → AA/Q → R The important part is not starting with your entire combo while Akali has everything available . You want to make her spend Q/E/W and then use your E to extend the fight. Avoid: E → Q3 → R immediately while Akali has W + E. She can dodge/escape and make you waste almost everything.
Энни
Fleet Footwork → my preferred choice into Annie.
B
Энни matchup: Fleet Footwork → my preferred choice into Annie. Why: helps you survive her early poke; the movement speed is very useful for getting into Q3/E range; gives you sustain while farming; Annie can punish you heavily if you walk into her range without enough HP; Fleet → Stormrazor gives you a strong way to close the gap and stick to her. Lethal Tempo is playable if you're confident and can manage her stun properly. I would actually switch to LT once you're comfortable with the matchup because Annie is very squishy and Yone can destroy her if she wastes her stun. Laning phases Level 1 — B Start Q . Respect Annie's auto range and Q poke. Don't take free damage just to get CS. Annie's early waveclear is good, but she has limited threat if she doesn't have her stun ready. Look for Q trades when she walks up for CS. The important thing early is: Track her passive stacks constantly. Level 2–5 — B- This is the dangerous part of the lane. Annie's Q + W + passive stun can punish Yone very hard if you engage at the wrong time. Before going in, check her passive. If Annie has stun ready: Don't blindly E → Q3. She can stun you during your engage and turn the trade around. If Annie has no stun: look for an aggressive trade. You can use: Q → Q → Q3 → E → W → AA/Q → disengage and Annie has a much harder time stopping you. Level 6+ — B- Annie's R gives her a very strong burst/all-in tool. Her ideal situation is: Flash → R stun → W → Q → Tibbers damage If you're already 60–70% HP, you can simply die before you get a chance to use your full combo. So don't think: "I'm Yone, I can just E in." You need to respect Flash + stun . If her stun is down, however, the matchup becomes dramatically easier. The biggest thing to track Annie's passive — Pyromania. This is the most important thing in the entire matchup. 🔴 4 stacks Do NOT force an engage. She can stun you and potentially burst you before you can react. 🟢 0–2 stacks Much safer. You can look for aggressive Q3/E trades. 🟡 3 stacks Be careful. Her next ability will give her stun, so treat 3 stacks almost like 4. Annie's Flash You should also keep track of Flash . Annie without Flash + stun is much easier for Yone to play against. Annie with: Flash + stun + R can threaten you from a surprisingly large distance. If Flash is down: you can play much more aggressively. Especially if her passive is also down. Don't waste E when Annie has stun This is probably the biggest mistake in the matchup. If Annie has 4 passive stacks and you: E → Q3 she can simply: stun → burst → disengage and you've wasted your main engage tool. Instead: bait the stun → dodge/avoid it → then E. You want her to use her stun before you commit. Tibbers After level 6, remember that Tibbers can continue dealing damage while you're fighting. Don't stay unnecessarily close to Annie + Tibbers after you've finished your trade. If you don't have a reason to continue: E → trade → E back. Yone's E makes this especially easy. Wave management You generally want a stable wave near your side . Annie doesn't have the same long-range wave control as Anivia, so you have more freedom here. A good pattern is: slow push → crash → reset/roam or freeze if she's playing too far forward. If Annie is forced to walk up to farm and has no stun: that's a very good Q3/E opportunity. What you want in trades Your ideal trade is: wait for Annie to use stun → Q3 → E → W → AA/Q → disengage If she doesn't have stun: Q3 → E → W → AA/Q → R can be extremely punishing. Avoid: E → Q3 while Annie has 4 passive stacks. That's exactly the situation Annie wants.
