How to play Seraphine APC (WIP)
Seraphine APC Build Guide
How to build Seraphine APC
Build Overview
In testing again
You can skip out of health pots if it is a very passive lane to save 100 gold and hit lost chapter sooner.
Testing tear start.
Seraphine excel with high amounts of ability haste. Defensive boots can be taken against full AD/AP teams.
Your primary goal is to hit either of these two gold threshholds. 850g for Tear + Cull, 1200g for Lost Chapter, or 1600g for Lost Chapter + Tear. **Edit: Testing Tear start into mandate delay lost chapter 3rd item
Cryptbloom if solo AP. Bloodletter if duo AP
You want to run TP in almost every matchup unless you absolutely need a different summoner spell such as exhaust or heal. Edit: Basically run tp no matter what
Rune Page:
- We opt out of legend haste due to us already hitting above 70 ability haste off our other runes and 3 item core.
- We are running manaflow + PoM due to having one lost chapter item and for our high mana costs for clearing waves.
- Axiom is skipped as we have enough ability haste off of items and runes.
Comet is preferred over aery due to the consistancy to hit after landing E as well as being a better scaling rune.**Swapped back to aery for further testing with tear start**- You can take scorch but in general, gathering storm starts to outscale scorch by the 10-15 minute mark due to the amount of spells Seraphine can cast in a fight.
**Testing opting out of PoM by going Archangels over Blackfire**
**Can take legend haste if running tear**
Build Order Core:
Archangels > Ionion Boots > Mandate > Rylai's > Cryptbloom > Deathcap / Flex
Testing tear start > mandate > rylai's > archangels > flex
Deathcap Vs Liandry's
- At approximately 2500 health, the damage between Deathcap and Liandry's breaks even with more health tilting in favor of Liandry's on average in terms of poking (in testing)
- In regards to bursting and all ins, Liandry's will only outdamage Deathcap at around 5500 health (very situational and unlikely)
Cryptbloom Vs Void Staff
- At 100 magic resist, the damage between Cryptbloom and Void Staff breaks even with more magic resist tilting in favor of Void staff.
- However, I would still build Cryptbloom regardless due to the haste and passive of Cryptbloom unless your team has drafted full AP and the enemy team is itemizing above 100 magic resist in response.
Laning Phase:
You have very high mana costs with a low base mana pool during the early laning phase. You should look to use your mana sparingly in the early game and farm up until you can first back for lost chapter. Ideally you will have enough for lost chapter assuming 0 kills and assist by minute 5 where you will be around level 5 on average and with 40 cs. Try to throw poke at either enemy support or adc when they walk up to last hit minions in order to proc manaflow in the early game. In my opinion, Seraphine is very weak in the early game without an engage support to set up for your spells early. Before lost chapter, try to pull and hold wave towards your side of the lane until first back. After lost chapter, you can play more aggresively as you will have enough mana to waveclear as well as pressuring the enemy laner off minons.
Once you have lost chapter, keep in mind of these during laning phase:
- With 3 points into Q, you will need to either auto or hit the casters with e once in order to one shot the casters with double cast Q.
- With 4 points into Q, you will always be able to clear the casters with double Q.
- With 1-2 points into E, an enemy with boots will almost always be able to walk out of a max range Q. I will generally recommend double casting E into Q for reliable damage.
- With 3 points into E, you will reliably be able to follow up a slowed target with a max range Q assuming they dont have a dash. I will generally recommend E into double casting Q.
- However if an enemy is already slowed / rooted, you should always E into double Q as a max range seraphine Q has a 0.94 second travel time and your E at rank 1 has a 1.1 second crowd control duration assuming your target does not have any tenacity.
- Double-casting your w in 99% of cases is never the right choice. The shield has a low AP scaling and the healing is based on missing hp with no AP scaling. Do not use this as a form of sustain in the early game.
