Kha'Zix matchup: I pick Kha'Zix when the opponent locks in Kindred. This is the classic Kindred counter due to his invis cancelling your auto + kha being able to freely ult right after your ult ends to guarantee his ability turn comes first. Be very careful of lvl3 invades on your vertical side and ward well (he can easily kill you). Important to track early on so buy control ward on first back and place in the entrance of your other jungle side to ensure he doesn't sneak through. Has way better objective secure than you unless you commit ult.

Hecarim matchup: Clears way faster than you, hard to get marks. Good [Hecarim] will always rush to [Mark of the Kindred] with 5000ms making it very difficult for you to generate safe marks. His kit is really strong against yours too, as he can just [Onslaught of Shadows] right after your [Lamb's Respite] , giving him a free ability turn. Leverage any team advantages you have and encourage skirmishes rather than isolation fight since you lose 1v1 hard. Also since you clear really slow if you mess up your tempo it's common for him to easily counter jungle you since raptors are candy to him.

Ivern matchup: [Serpent's Fang] Serpant's Fang. Ivern's pretty tricky since it's actually hard to get marks on him since his clear is pretty unpredictable. His early game is extremely flexible so be very wary of early disruptive invades and ganks. Serpant's Fang will help a lot and is the turning tide of this matchup (he pretty much becomes useless after), but the first 15minutes of the game Ivern always will offer more to his team.

Poppy matchup: Always play in open area and play low risk playstyle. [Poppy] is really annoying because her kit fundamentally counters a lot of kindred abilities - she has target CC, her W makes it inescapable after, and she's just generally annoying since there's a ton of jungle [Poppy] psychopaths who will drop all their camps just to mess your tempo up. Play in open space with always heavy vision in your jungle ( [Dark Harvest] [Poppy] WILL oneshot you), and the game is pretty open from there on out.

Rengar matchup: Track for his level 3 invade. Rengar's main win-condition is invading you on your first clear and snowballing from there. You can ward and delay your 2nd quadrant (blueside walk around and take krugs, redside just walk long way to the gromp) Understanding when Rengar wants to fight based on his stacks and his ult timer is everything. Save your ult to counter his initial jump and focus on clumping in open-skirmishes (i.e. lane) so he doesn't have any bushes. He doesn't really have any tools to kill you when your ult pops as long as you Q away from him at the end.

Shaco matchup: The mark can show which Shaco is the real one. When kindred marks champions, occasionally a mark will appear above their head when you're fighting them. This is critical when dealing with shaco since it shows the real one. Besides that tech, this matchup is free if you dodge the lvl2 invade (ward your side of the river + ask for mid ward on raptors) and play semi-on his pace. Shaco will always have early pressure that's stronger than yours, so just be mindful when playing against it and track him well for your team. If you have any semblance of marks and you're even or slightly behind you're still easily favoured to win the game past 20minutes. Play for teamfights and skirmish, ping for your team which shaco is the real one, and since you're ranged you can easily dodge his boxes.

Master Yi matchup: Invade and play high pressure early, and play aggressive when his ult timer is down. Yi on paper might be hard because if you guys are even at 3 items he just oneshots you. Fortunately, you have all the tools in the world to be as aggressive as possible before then. Play aggro for crab mark since he can't contest anything you want to do pre6, and post6 as long as his ult is down you can always fight him. You still outscale him in teamfights and his only win-condition is either spamming objectives or him taking constant isolation fights with you. Just play patient and don't overreact.
Ekko

Ekko matchup: Kite back when he W's and play your range after. Ekko isn't a good matchup into Kindred beacuse he lacks good clear speed, loses isolation 1v1 (can't 1-rotation kill you) and gets kited quite easily. This matchup isn't really hard in any way if you are even, just track him well.

Probably one of the easiest Kindred matchups.

Dr. Mundo matchup: Probably one of the easiest Kindred matchups. Mundo does nothing to Kindred unless you're crazy behind. Skip collector and opt for LDR + ask teammates to buy antiheal and it's absolutely free. Getting antiheal on yourself isn't as valuable as the LDR passive which will literally show 5k+ damage if this champ is on the enemy team. He can never kill you, you perma kite him, he has terrible mobility and his jungle pathing is the exact same every time meaning marks are easy to predict. Champ also is useless pre6 so you always beat him on crab fight.
